English: QR scan; download location for Commons upload tool for Android mobiles (work in progress).
Note that your mobile phone setting must allow non-market applications. After installing on android mobile using a bar scanner a new 'share' option "Wikimedia Commons" is available within the menu options when viewing a stored image on the mobile. From here, the app is started automatically when the menu-item is selected. A correct username and password must be provided the first time only. Login settings are stored locally. A simple file name is suggested, and a file description can be entered. Existing files are not overwritten. Files will have the category:Images uploaded by Android app included by the inserted template. |
