Will this also work on IIS? --Slamlander 06:52, 8 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Not unless IIS runs on Linux or FreeBSD ;-> See the Requirements section in the Plexcel Operator's Manual for the latest. --Miallen 01:56, 29 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

phosphor - It sounds like you did not install the Plexcel PHP extension. See the Plexcel Operator's Manual for detailed installation instructions.

Disclaimer removed[edit]

I removed the disclaimer. However, you might want to consider putting an upgrade notice in place or an attention getting explanation of your change in policy: the disclaimer was there as much for your own protection as MediaWiki's. The change you've made is a bit subtle (but definitely the right thing). Most people who aren't security experts still associate the word "ACL" with file permissions more than directory and resource permissions. I'm worried about users of older versions believing that they have more secure systems than they do and then blaming you when something goes wrong. Increasing corporate interest in MediaWiki as an in-house system also means more execs that like to use the courts to blame others for their problems (though I'm actually more concerned about Joe the dentist who thought he could use MediaWiki on his office LAN instead of a proper billing system).
