A very useful extension! --Frantik 18:14, 19 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

If the list of words that are highlighted would be configurable, it'd be a more awesome extension. Maybe i'll hack it quickly. Beta M 09:18, 12 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
Never mind, the code is funny, but horrible. It's not worth it. Beta M 09:30, 12 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
What's horrible about it? You need to add a single line and modify another to add a word. Settings up more generic handling is not worth the effort. --Jeroen De Dauw 11:50, 12 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
Was this an exercise in obfuscation? You named every variable and function awesomeness; and to make it worse, they are all crammed into single, inline statements, which makes it impossible to figure out what the hell is going on without rewriting it in a more sane manner first. Sigh. --71.202.235.128 22:29, 1 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

How to Use it[edit]

I do not understand the ways of this extension working. Please give some instructions. --Simonlsw (talk) 14:27, 15 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

yes, I agree too poor page. Examples screenshots... missing -- Christian 🇫🇷 FR (talk) 12:23, 5 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Oh man[edit]

Worst extension ever! Actually, no. SecureHTML is worse.

Yea, really. I forgive the author though. He made other useful extensions. --Choshi 14:32, 10 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Coloration[edit]

Shouldn't awesome links be colored awesome (aka Crayola Awesome)? Or maybe even awesome beaver? Tisane 15:17, 8 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Gone on Jeroen's wiki[edit]

I removed the link to http://wiki.bn2vs.com as that wiki no longer uses the extension. Then I realized it's the site of one of the authors! Maybe you intend to bring it back, since the site home page says "My awesome personal wiki" :-) -- S Page (WMF) (talk) 22:26, 8 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

"Awesome wikis" section[edit]

When I click both links, it takes me to one of those online surveys that 9 times out of 10 will take and resell personal info such as email address to advertisers. Should that section just be removed since it's not really any good? --GeorgeBarnick (talk) 16:43, 8 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Well, there is no awesomeness in this links any longer. I will remove this section. Cheers --[[kgh]] (talk) 17:39, 8 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

what about translated pages ?[edit]

There is no hope to find 'awesome' outside than of an EN page, so either it is useless there, or we need the translated words where it operates on. Thanks.-- Christian 🇫🇷 FR (talk) 06:46, 25 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

allo ? anyone alive here ? -- Christian 🇫🇷 FR (talk) 12:12, 5 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
I doubt is was a good idea to mark this extension for translation. Not sure if it highlights awesome in other languages. If it does not the word should be preserved on the translation pages, too. [[kgh]] (talk) 12:23, 5 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Just looked at the code. It only highlights awesome and alike. The translations thus should preserve the word. [[kgh]] (talk) 12:24, 5 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
So to 2 words 'awesome' 'alike' to preserve; have you a screen shot for example of this marvellous effect please ? Merci. -- Christian 🇫🇷 FR (talk) 12:31, 5 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
No, never used or installed the extension. I will write words containing "awseseome" in bold letters as done on the docu page here. Cheers [[kgh]] (talk) 12:44, 5 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
yes and the 2 words are hardcoded in the Php as i guess, so use is limited, I restrict translation although someone could develop more on the subject. Thanks. Christian 🇫🇷 FR (talk) 08:59, 8 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Does not make sense to me. [[kgh]] (talk) 12:57, 9 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
