Thats not true, you can own a copyright and release it to the public domain. The copyright just no longer has any restriction for use at that point. Just like how when you release something under the GPL the original author retains his copyright. The only thing is when you release it under the public domain your copyright doesnt mean as much.

I don't understand what this extension dose. And I looked at the example, and it was just a long page of random things. Dose it give a list of people that are online, or dose it show on my user page if I'm online or not? --Steinninn 08:38, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

It tells you the online status of a particular AIM username. It displays a nice little box that clearly shows if the username is online or not. - Jeffrey Phillips Freeman

AIM Key is a developper key that you should get there: http://developer.aim.com/manageKeys.jsp It's not your screen name. Patheticcockroach 14:01, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

Think you could make one for MicroSoft Communicator instead of AIM???

You should have emailed me instead. I rarely check in on this discussion page (every few months just in case). Anywho it should be pretty easy to create assuming MSN offers a service to use.
