This CollaborativeEditor extension is mainly built for WikiToLearn by a WikiToLearn contributor. This extension enables the collaborative editing feature for your wiki. This is extension would allow multiple people to edit and make change on wiki at a same time. The host user can invite all others by sharing the invite link for that particular wiki page.

This extension will work smoothly both on VisualEditor and mediawiki editor.

Basic setup instructions[edit]

  • Download or clone the repository.
  • Place the files inside a TogetherJS extension directory inside your extensions/ directory.
  • Add the following code at the end of your LocalSettings.php file:

Now you should be able to see the Collaborative Mode button next to the edit button on your wiki pages.

Rich text elements[edit]

This supports all rich text elements like Bold, Italics, Hyperlink, Ctrl + B and many others.
