The MiniInvite extension adds two new special pages, Special:InviteEmail and Special:EmailNewArticle, for sending out invitation emails to your friends.

When used together with the SocialProfileExtension:SocialProfile and NewSignupPageExtension:NewSignupPage extensions, it is possible to gain points by referring friends to the site via links generated by this extension.

  • Download and place the file(s) in a directory called MiniInvite in your extensions/ folder.
  • Add the following code at the bottom of your LocalSettings.php:
    wfLoadExtension( 'MiniInvite' );
  • YesY Done – Navigate to Special:Version on your wiki to verify that the extension is successfully installed.

This likely doesn't work properly at the moment! See gerrit:166584 for further details.
