The MiniInvite extension adds two new special pages, Special:InviteEmail and Special:EmailNewArticle, for sending out invitation emails to your friends.

When used together with the SocialProfile and NewSignupPage extensions, it is possible to gain points by referring friends to the site via links generated by this extension.

Installation[edit]

  • Download and move the extracted MiniInvite folder to your extensions/ directory.
    Developers and code contributors should install the extension from Git instead, using:cd extensions/

  • Add the following code at the bottom of your LocalSettings.php file:
    wfLoadExtension( 'MiniInvite' );

  • Yes Done – Navigate to Special:Version on your wiki to verify that the extension is successfully installed.
