The CheckPageTitle extension displays a modal box when someone tries to create a title containing a hardcoded set of invalid characters. This is done using JavaScript and does not actually prevent the page from being created.

Installation

• Download and place the file(s) in a directory called CheckPageTitle in your extensions/ folder.
• Add the following code at the bottom of your LocalSettings.php file:

  wfLoadExtension( 'CheckPageTitle' );
  

• Done – Navigate to Special:Version on your wiki to verify that the extension is successfully installed.
