# Research resources

“How do you learn about the latest research findings that you can use in your Wikimedia development work?”

Many respondents said that they don’t use research findings in their development work.

Of the 100 opted into this section and answered this question, 65 (65%) indicated that they do use research findings in their development work, while 35 (35%) indicated that they do not.

For respondents who indicated that they do use research findings in their development work, the following locations were the most cited places where they learn about the latest research findings:

“Are you currently researching or considering researching a topic, question, or idea but are unsure how to proceed?”

Respondents who selected ‘Yes’ or ‘I don’t know’ were informed of the following, based on their role:

  • Volunteer developers, as well as Chapter and other Affiliate staff, are welcome to book a one-on-one office hour with a member of the Research team to share more.
  • Wikimedia Foundation staff developers may contact a member of our team or submit a request for support in Phabricator.
