- Research resources - Like last year, the two most common ways that respondents learn about the latest research findings to use in their Wikimedia development work are:

“How do you learn about the latest research findings that you can use in your Wikimedia development work?”
Many respondents said that they don’t use research findings in their development work.
Of the 100 opted into this section and answered this question, 65 (65%) indicated that they do use research findings in their development work, while 35 (35%) indicated that they do not.
For respondents who indicated that they do use research findings in their development work, the following locations were the most cited places where they learn about the latest research findings:
- 31% said Wikimedia’s Research Newsletter
- 26% said Wikimedia Foundation’s Research Report (down from 35% last year)
- 20% said subject matter experts
- 20% said somewhere else, where the most commonly mentioned place was Wikipedia Signpost
# Research help needed
“Are you currently researching or considering researching a topic, question, or idea but are unsure how to proceed?”
Respondents who selected ‘Yes’ or ‘I don’t know’ were informed of the following, based on their role:
- Volunteer developers, as well as Chapter and other Affiliate staff, are welcome to book a one-on-one office hour with a member of the Research team to share more.
- Wikimedia Foundation staff developers may contact a member of our team or submit a request for support in Phabricator.
