Category:MediaWiki technical documentation? Ouch. Category:Manual will work better. People will find it and contribute to it here. --Rogerhc 05:26, 24 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Although there is not much content at the moment, the manual will ultimately be more than just the technical documentation. A 'manual' category might be useful at that stage, with 'technical documentation' as a sub-category, but there is not much point with categorisation until we have more content. See Project:Help for links to all the major sources of information. --HappyDog 16:37, 26 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
"This is the Manual in the Manual: namespace. It covers system administration and customization of MediaWiki installations. User issues are covered in the Help pages in the Help: namespace." - This explanation is wrong. There is a different aim between the manual (detailed, for users and for admins, GFDL) and the help pages (mainly for users, PD). --:Bdk: 01:26, 4 August 2006 (UTC) Reply
