This project has been discontinued; however an official Commons app for iOS and Android is being worked on -- see Apps/Commons. This should be available in app stores sometime in the first or second quarter of 2013.
WikiSnaps is an iPhone application that allows you to directly upload your photographs to Wikimedia Commons. The tool was originally developed during the Dutch 2011 Hack-a-ton
