Content Translation[edit]
Content Translation allows people to translate Wikipedia articles. Also check out out the newsletter.
- Santhosh Thottingal worked on template adaptation improvements. The adaptation is based on the interlanguage connection of templates in wikidata. Issues related to Template namespace changes while translating between two language pairs also addressed. There are more work ongoing about improving template adaptation.
- Santhosh Thottingal improved the reference adaptation and made the published HTML more clean.
- Santhosh Thottingal fixed several issues related to unwanted HTML markup being present in the published articles.
- Niklas Laxström improved the language selector so that previously used languages for translation are reused correctly next time a new translation starts.
- Niklas Laxström fixed an issue related to AbuseFilter warnings are shown when it is not is not a warning or an error.
- Roan Kattouw recategorized the Content translation related notifications (Echo).
- Amir Aharoni did a user interface fix for the create using content translation invitation in the Contributions menu.
- Santhosh Thottingal fixed the translation ownership check mismatch between client side and server side.
- Santhosh Thottingal reduced the maximum number of gray interlanguage links shown to maximum of 3.

Translate[edit]
Translate extension allows translation of software interface, manuals, announcements, banners etc. on Wikimedia special projects, translatewiki.net and other sites. Translate is part of MLEB.
In this month about 40 patches were merged. We congratulate Glaisher for getting +2 code review rights to Translate and Translation Notifications. His contributions to these two extensions in the past months have been significant and of high quality.
- Glaisher submitted a patch to improve performance of translation unit deletions.
- Niklas Laxström submitted a group of patches to improve message group selector on Special:Translate.
- Niklas Laxström submitted a patch to fix a regression that caused null to be shown when message group did not have a description. T132996
- Glaisher submitted a code cleanup patch related to creating links to special pages.
- Niklas Laxström submitted a fix ttmserver-export.php script which did not work with MediaWiki 1.28. T136919
- David Causse submitted a fix to ttmserver-export.php so that it works with automatic expansion of replicas. T136919
- Glaisher submitted patches to improve translation page headers.
- Niklas Laxström submitted patches to clean up some button styles to match MediaWiki conventions.
- Niklas Laxström submitted patches to improve display of Special:Translate on small screens.
- Niklas Laxström submitted a dozen code maintenance patches.
- Niklas Laxström submitted patches to avoid flash of unstyled content on some of Translate's special pages.
- Niklas Laxström changed JSON file format handler to always output a metadata section. T118205
- Nemo bis submitted a patch to restore accidentally removed localisation message. T132994
- Niklas Laxström submitted patches to improve the Translation search tab in Special:Search.
- Glaisher submitted a patch to improve error handling of translatable page deletions.
- Niklas Laxström submitted two patches to fix multiple issues related to statsbar updates on Special:Translate. T62949

Universal Language Selector[edit]
Universal Language Selector provides language choose, input methods and web fonts. It is part of MLEB.
In this month about 15 patches were merged.
- Niklas Laxström did code cleanup and improvements to the language name indexer that helps cross language search.
- Niklas Laxström and Santhosh Thottingal added badges support to ULS Compact links. They are commonly used with featured articles.
- Santhosh Thottingal added support for browser provided language preferences for compact language links. This was part of a fix Niklas Laxström did to not suggest incorrect languages in compact language list for anonymous users.

No MediaWiki Language Extension Bundle was released this month. Next release is expected in July.
Project Milkshake[edit]
Project Milkshake consists of four re-usable jquery internationalization libraries.

- Niklas Laxström upgrades HHVM and ElasticSearch.
- Niklas Laxström and Siebrand Mazeland added support for video2commons during Wikimania.
- Niklas Laxström updated MediaWiki core export threshold to 13% (was 18%).
- Raimond Spekking, Niklas Laxström and Paladox registered 2 new MediaWiki extensions (Semantic Scribunto, Summary Cards), 1 new skin (Vector V2) and updated settings for many others.
- Niklas Laxström and Federico Leva added many new languages available for translation.
- Niklas Laxström added support for GapFinder.

Cross team work/requirements[edit]
- The work on enabling Special:Translate for mobile devices has continued – albeit in very slow pace.
- TranslationNotifications was updated to support AuthManager. T111486
- Request to update Translate for AuthManager was received but not was not worked on in this month.
- Work on packaging and updating Apertium language pairs continues.
