Feedback for the Hovercards Beta Feature[edit]

We are looking for feedback on Hovercards - https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Beta_Features/Hovercards Would be super useful if you could try the feature and give us your feedback since you participated in typography refresh. Also if you have used the navigation popups gadget, we are trying to understand which actions from that gadget are useful. Please comment here - https://www.mediawiki.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:Beta_Features/Hovercards&workflow=rt4khfuq1svh8sx3 Thank You, Vibhabamba

Your deletion proposals[edit]

Hi Whym. When requesting that something like Demokrasi get deleted, please use the speedy template, as these do not need to wait a week. Template:Delete explains this. --Krenair (talkcontribs) 14:04, 19 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, I'll make sure using the correct one. whym (talk) 14:19, 19 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

phabricator:T166782#3309404[edit]

What made you think that tag was appropriate? --Nemo 22:07, 1 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

My bad, I didn't check the recent updates at Talk:Reading/Web#phabricator:tag.2FReading-Web-Local-Wiki-Issues and [1]. So to actually answer, because phab:T164242's "Reading-Web-Local-Wiki-Issues" tag had stayed after discussion, I presumed it could be applied for issues likely to involve editing Common.js/Common.css. --whym (talk) 03:15, 2 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
Ah ok, yes that was a misunderstanding. No problem, I was just curious whether the description and tags were still confusing. :) --Nemo 05:31, 2 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Japanese Wikipedia[edit]

Hello, Whym. I'm interested in learning more about the Japanese Wikipedia, and I thought I'd start by asking you. The chapter plan seems to have stalled a few years ago, and I'm not sure who else might be interested in talking to me, but feel free to suggest someone else if you want.

I want to know – well, anything that seems interesting to you. I don't have a grand plan here, but here's the immediate context: I'm looking at a few mobile-editing projects for the Editing team, and they'd like to talk to test some (hopefully!) improvements with a couple of communities. We'll probably reach out to some smaller Wikipedias, but the Japanese Wikipedia seems like the biggest Wikipedia that I don't know enough about to even properly guess whether they'd be interested. So: Your mission, should you choose to accept, is to make me understand more than I do. :-)

(Please ping me; I've given up hope on my watchlist.)

@Whatamidoing (WMF): ja:プロジェクト‐ノート:ウィキ技術部 would be an appropriate place to leave a message/start an early discussion/seek interested people on new features, if that's what you are looking for. It's attended only by a small number of people but they are tech-savvy and are more likely to be receptive to discussions in English, I expect. What else... recently I'm more active as a volunteer developer than anything else, and I'm not directly involved in activities like editathons and outreach, for example. I know quite a few of them have been happening regularly, though. whym (talk) 11:36, 30 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
