Extension:SocialProfile + Postgres

Hi, Turnstep. I'm sysop on pt.wikipedia and eo.wikipedia and I was in the last Wikimania, in Poland. I'm looking for tools that integrates MediaWiki with other Web 2.0 resources, and this extension seems to be very useful. Unfortunately, nobody's developed the PostgreSQL schema for SocialProfile yet, as Jack Phoenix said. As you are an expert on that, would you please tell me if it's a too difficult thing to do? Depend on the extension, but doesn't seem too difficult. Shame the SQL is scattered among directories rather than in one place. I created a sample file, user_stats.postgres.sql to get you started. Turnstep 15:43, 22 October 2010 (UTC)

I've already edit the *.sql files (replacing "datetime" whith "timestamp", "KEY" whith "UNIQUE", "autoincrement" whith "serial", and so on). Is there something else to do? I couldn't tested it yet. Thanks for your reply. Castelobranco 16:30, 22 October 2010 (UTC)

MediaWiki & Wikimedia developers' days this fall

New Orleans Wikimedia Hackathon
MediaWiki and Wikimedia developers' meetup Hi, Turnstep. I'd like to invite you to come to the New Orleans Hackathon 2011. We're getting together folks like you -- template, script, tool, extension, and gadget writers -- to participate, give feedback, test, and hack with us. At the event, MediaWiki developers and Wikimedia operations engineers will be working on Wikimedia's gadgets/extensions/tools support, authorization/authentication strategy, dev-ops virtualization, and general training and hacking. And we'll improve and discuss the Wikimedia Labs projects infrastructure and other stuff that makes it easier for anyone to supercharge Wikimedia with awesomeness. The event is open to anyone who wants to come and contribute, and is an opportunity to spend time with senior MediaWiki developers & ops engineers, write beautiful code, and learn about the latest developments. We'll write code together, discuss the software, and hold little workshops. If you can make it to New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, 14-16 October 2011, we'd love to have you.
