Why is this page in the "Summer of Code" category? I think it's best to keep that one for general GSoC pages. Might be an idea to create a "Summer of Code proposals category" though.

Commons

Hi Bawolff,

Interesting proposal. I think it will be most helpful for all the information currently not available easily. I took the liberty to cross-reference it from Commons:Commons talk:EXIF.

BTW, some time ago I made a suggestion to convert automatically some of the EXIF data to categories (bugzilla:21795). This would make it searchable and would avoid that people (or bots) have to add these categories manually.

Thanks. Should I be given a GSoC spot, I definitely hope my project will be useful to commons. I did see your bug about categories based on exif information. Seems like a cool idea, but unfortunately not something I'm planning to address in the near future... Bawolff 20:15, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
