An electrical and computer engineer with a strong science and history background, father of two mid-twenties college grads, one way or another I've been pitching in on Wikimedia Foundation projects since mid-2004. So far as I know, I've contributed to 13 separate projects including minor aids in three non-English Wikipedias.

My main talks are in Commons, Meta, Wikipedia and especially, since June-July 2013, b:User Talk:Fabartus where I'm very engaged in overhauling a complicated Wikibook.

• I accept emails and prefer those for heads up kinds of things.
