I am Alderin, administrator of a small web hosting company (no link provided, I'm not here for traffic). I'm rolling out a MediaWiki driven wiki for a personal project, installed 1.5.8, it worked, but did not have the features of the 1.8 set, so I moved to a different server where I could update to PHP5 without (possible) damage to customer's scripts. I installed 1.8.2, and things seem to be running fine. Now all I gotta do is figure out this skinning stuff for my own look and feel. :-)

Anything I learn well about this wiki, I will document if the information is missing or unfindable. Also, I tend to add little tools and helpers for people new to the software, like Help:Copying. It may be trivial, but I sure would have liked to have it a week ago.

I am a programmer, I program in C,C++,Java,Perl, and various other languages. I typically don't do a lot in PHP, but I can read it well enough to pass, and with some reference material I can write in it. I'll check back here once a week or more to see my talk page if you want to ask questions.
