Just realised it does go away when clicked on but it still needs fixing this is because it doesn't go away. For example I went to a random article on wp:en and went to VisualEditor. I added two [[ at the end of the page. The WikiMarkup notice came up, so I removed the [[ so it was exactly the same as when I first started but the WikiMarkup notice didn't go away.

Bug 51701 was fixed months ago and I can't reproduce your issue. Can you please tell me your browser/skin/operating system? Thanks.
