Interwiki links

Perhaps a check box for interwiki could work. The dropdown wouldn't appear unless the box is checked. I understand what you mean, the new Move system is terrible because the dropdown overrides what you are typing. I'm fairly certain I never want to move a page to [[User talk:Wikipedia:...]]

I agree. I actually wrote a script for ajax moves over on enwiki because it was so annoying. Talk to me there if you're interested ;).

Have you reported this problem with the move system on bugzilla:?

Is it really a bug? It sucks, but it works as it should.
