A few questions about Wikkii
Well, I'm planning on using CentralAuth and using multiple wikis, sooo....
I was going to install CentralAuth on it also, to help the community aspect between the wikis. If you're going to do anything really complex, I could try asking them to approve your request. Wikkii has seemed dead since the owner changed. I sent them an email about it.
Yeah, thanks.
Besides CentralAuth, I'm going to have CheckUser and a bunch of other extensions, but nothing that requires too much. One thing to note is that CentralAuth works only if each wiki has its own database.
I can install the CheckUser extension. Some of the other advanced wikis have it. Running maintenance scripts requires cron jobs though.
I'll be using separate databases for all the wikis. There doesn't seem to be a limit to only being able to create one. I think it was removed when people were asking about setting up forums related to the wiki.
All of this, of course, is if Wikkii becomes responsive again... :(
Yeah, it's been really annoying.
My intermediate hosting wiki was approved, and so I'll be able to set up your wikis. You can send the information of what the name and title should be (sk.wikkii.net/yourwikititle) to contact@sturmkrieg.com until I get a request form set up.
I'll apply for my own hosting and ask you if I can't get in (sorry I was on vacation for the weekend).
Ok. I sent a message to one of the admins about applying. Hopefully they'll remember it when they get your application.
They said they couldn't find it, but said you could send another one.
I'm sending it today, I was busy until now.
Gah, I had too many failed login attempts to their server and they banned my IP.
You can try emailing support@wikkii.com or using a proxy to get on the forum and tell them about the problem. That happened to me too.
The issue got resolved by e-mail... but my forum account remains to be approved.
