help with right to left text and left to right coding

hey i am using mediawiki 1.18.2 and i use "code" extension(v0.9) for syntax highlighting. my wiki is in farsi (right to left) language while i want my codes to be left to right. i put my codes in a div with style="direction: ltr" after that, the text get a margin from right(the text is right to left). i want to ask: is it the good way to get codes left to right? what is the better way?
