Sort of: 1.16 supports it, but with such a lot of bugs that we had to remove it for 1.17 which is currently in development. Hopefully, in the same version it will be replaced with a new MSSQL backend, using a Microsoft-supplied DB driver for PHP. If you wat to use Mediawiki, but don't want to use MSSQL or install other databases, you can use it with SQLite, which does not require a separate installation.
