MediaWiki Version 1.13.3 as Enterprise Wiki?

Hello, could you please help me with the following question. Is it in security issues dangerous to run a MediaWiki in a company in version 1.13.3?
If it is accessable from the internet, it is most probably dangerous. If the wiki can only be accessed from inside the company and if you trust all users, maybe it is no problem for you to have known security wholes.
Even if it is an intranet-only wiki, it is still potentially vulnerable since the browser likely doesn't know the difference (in that JavaScript could trigger a request to http://wiki.lan from any domain).
