I am not sure if this extension is already ready for the MW 1.23 LTS release since it was not tagged for it so far. I think we should get as many cool changes to this extension's 1.23 version as possible.

Apparently there is a general problem with tagging as per this thread. However, I guess an individual tag for REL1_23 may still be a good idea for this extension as well as heaps of backports for this LTS release.
According to the last comment in bug 64157, the issue with the missing branches are fixed. MediaViewer does have a REL1_23 branch which looks reasonably recent; is there any further tagging needed?
Yeah, this is sort-of fixed. :) At the time I opened this thread we were still hit by bug 65852. So no worries.
However this particular extension is currently still under very heavy development. Thus as many backports to the 1.23 branch will be appreciated. :) Besides, I really like this extension and the features it provides.
The current version has been backported.
