  • What's with the grey background? It seems to be entirely useless, and does nothing but make the text slightly more difficult to read.
  • The "Thanks" bit is a waste of space, IMO.
  • Avatars should definitely not be used on any Wikimedia projects.

Yes, the background currently seen on TWN is pretty unpleasant. Making it brighter would definitely improve readability.

Avatars aren't that bad. They're better than custom sigs, for sure. I think the size of the avatar should be reduced, perhaps to 100x100px or less

Yes, smaller avatars would be an improvement. Ocaasi 17:07, 19 September 2010 (UTC)

I have reduced the avatars to 32 pixels in size at this time. There is also an obvious switch to flip to turn them off on the page so that you don't see them.

The new version is certainly a big improvement, in my opinion, but it really needs to be possible to eliminate avatars completely on a wiki, and the duplication of the "Start new discussion" bars could be a problem on pages with only one or two discussions. On the screenshots, I don't see the header anywhere, where is it? Also, is this going to be rolled out to any of the Wikimedia wikis with LQT currently enabled anytime soon?
