Can I use this extension to just synchronize groups while still using another auth extension?

I prefer to use Extension:CASAuthentication for user authentication, but I would like to begin synchronizing groups with AD. Can I use the LDAP Authentication extension for only group synchronization?

You'd have to add support to CASAuthentication. You could probably add a hook in the updateuser and inituser functions of CASAuthentication to call the LDAP group functions. inituser and updateuser functions maybe.
