Purpose of database field

What is the purpose of the "Database" field? It seems redundant as the MySQL field already covers this information. It's been confusing a lot of people in the Support desk, and I'm thinking that if it truly is a redundant/pointless field that it should be removed from the template. --Skizzerz ^talk 21:35, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

You know, I just came here to mention that. I have yet to see someone fill out that field with a value other than something like "Huh?" Although perhaps we should remove the MySQL field and change Database to Database (with version). Some people must use the Postgres support. ;-) Tuvok[^Talk/_en.wp] 08:55, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
