Easiest way to upgrade from 1.19.2?[edit]

What is the easiest way to upgrade to 1.20 from 1.19.2?
In Release_notes/1.20#Upgrading it says "For notes on 1.19.x and older releases, see HISTORY."
The page history doesn't show anything related to 1.19 - which history do you mean?
Is there a patch file for the upgrade?
Thanks.

Maybe it shopuld better say "see RELEASE_NOTES". To do the update go through the steps in Upgrade. :-) --88.130.95.213 10:20, 7 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Patch File for 1.20.1 Problems[edit]

patching file includes/specials/SpecialUserlogin.php can't find file to patch at input line 508 Perhaps you used the wrong -p or --strip option? The text leading up to this was:

|diff -Nru -x messages -x '*.png' -x '*.jpg' -x '*.xcf' -x '*.gif' -x '*.svg' -x '*.tiff' -x '*.zip' -x '*.xmp' -x
'.git*' mediawiki-1.20.0/.jshintignore mediawiki-1.20.1/.jshintignore

|+++ mediawiki-1.20.1/.jshintignore 2012-11-29 10:36:48.133607078 -0800

Got this from a clean 1.20.0 installation that I just did yesterday afternoon.

There's a whole string of them, it all seems to have worked if I just ignore the non-existent files. But still...

1.20.5 available on Git/Gerrit?[edit]

I'm trying to update my MediaWiki site, which is on the REL1_20 branch, using 'git pull', but it seems that the 1.20.5 code isn't on Gerrit. I'm not able to find it on the web-based interface either. Am I doing something wrong, or has Gerrit not been updated? ValentineC (talk) 15:20, 1 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
