Not sure why you'd need a comparison.
- DynamicPageList (DPL) is a universal reporting tool for MediaWiki, listing category members and intersections with various formats and details.
while
- Semantic MediaWiki (SMW) is a free extension of MediaWiki – the wiki-system powering Wikipedia – that helps to search, organise, tag, browse, evaluate, and share the wiki's content.
They do totally different things. It is like comparing visicalc to dbase III+.
