Has anyone else encountered difficulties working with XAMPP 1.7.4-2 beta for Linux?

I am having trouble getting MediaWiki to install; it won't recognize the database username that I created and granted privileges to. I was wondering if anyone else had run into this problem. Tisane 11:33, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
