How to purge all articles?[edit]

If I change the MediaWiki:editsection and want the edit-section link to update in all articles, how do I do it? I can purge individual articles, but then I go to another article and it shows the old edit link... --Nathanael Bar-Aur L. 06:24, 3 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Clear your browser cache. --Skizzerz 21:40, 3 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

forcelinkupdate[edit]

forcelinkupdate seems to be an optional valueless parameter defined in ApiPurge::execute() which, if specified in addition to action=purge rebuilds link tables.[1]. Can/should it be documented here? — Richardguk (talk) 04:35, 7 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Mobile page follows?[edit]

I purged a page from a desktop. Is the mobile page (view) purged simultaneously? If so, with each method of purging mentioned? If not, can I purge the mobile page (view) from a desktop? (I can open and edit the mobile view through the link on the very last row of a page, OK). -DePiep (talk) 12:26, 10 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Better wording[edit]

Can we replace To purge a page with To purge a page's cache? Even knowing that purge just means purge cache, it is scary to read it like this. I think it should be written more explicitly. --Axil42 (talk) 07:25, 24 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Bug or limitation ?[edit]

Currently it works only for connected users. Non-logged-in users have to wait refresh for multiple days. Is this a bug or a limitation ?
