Manual talk:DeleteBatch.php

Plese help, I have special characters in page titles, like ščž (Slovene)? The batchdelete says:

Skipping nonexistent page '322. Ŕlen'

It looks like letter č is replaced for Ŕ.

It works on pages with "normal" names". Mitjad 09:38, 15 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Can't delete file contain / in file name[edit]

Can't delete file contain / in file name: e.g. File:A_Love_Song_(it\'s_too_clumsy).JPG Tried to write name in hex format, but does not solve this problem --Zoglun (talk) 01:11, 12 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

By page ID[edit]

I think that for system administrators it may be more easy to delete pages by "ID", instead of by title. Since, requiring a valid title may require to create complex SQL queries to provide the correct canonical namespace prefix as source for this script.

If any patch could be appreciated to also be able to work by ID, I can maybe hack the code to provide a related flag.

Thanks for any opinion. Valerio Bozzolan (talk) 17:02, 1 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
