India Hackathon 2011/Logo concepts

From mediawiki.org

Here are four logo concepts for the India Hackathon created by Heather Walls. The first two have slight differences in texture, but work from the same design.

The use of script for "Mumbai" may not be correct. We'll probably want a different font, too (which I'll need to obtain). There are a couple of choices here, mixing and matching of style and type.

Anyways. Discussion welcome. (The Ganesh one is my favorite, btw.)--Jorm (WMF) 01:56, 6 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This one looks very nice but I am afraid if it would send any religious bias message. Akshay.agarwal 08:22, 6 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I like this with couple of modifications. Bottom part of the central graphic would be better without image overlays. Text of Mumbai could be in both English and Hindi. Take care to get the Hindi word right and height aligned with English text.--Arjunaraoc 05:05, 6 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

General comments[edit]

As cute as hack-a-ton is, my preference would be to consistently refer to these events as hackathons. (The Berlin logo said that, and the Brighton Hackathon 2011 logo currently spells it "hack-a-thon", which is just odd.)--Eloquence 04:36, 6 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
