Google Summer of Code 2014 was announced in Tuesday, October 08, 2013 and is one of the mentorship programs we are planning to organize.

We advise all candidates eligible to FOSS Outreach Program for Women/Round 8 to apply to both programs.

Candidates[edit | edit source]

Students working on their projects should add themselves to the table below, linking to their user page, their project page in mediawiki.org, and the related bug report(s).

In addition to this, there are four steps that all proposals must complete in order to be evaluated:

  • send your proposal to wikitech-l and/or other appropriate mailing lists
  • submit your proposal in Google Melange, linking to the version in mediawiki.org, which is the one we will use in our evaluation
  • get two mentors to "Wish to mentor" your proposal in Google Melange (instructions for mentors)
  • complete one or more microtasks assigned by your mentors

Add the status of each point to the Updates column, linking to your wikitech-l email, Melange project idea (it doesn't matter if the access is protected), and the bug reports or patches related to your microtasks.
