On Special:SecurePoll there's an edit button for each poll. That'll allow you change the period (if voting has not ended)
The vote wasn't closed, but I wasn't able to edit the voting period.
I should've added 'if the voting hasn't started' too. Yes, this intentional limitation. I see you've already opened T344300, so linking it here for reference.

"vote" to "answer"

How do we implement the SecurePoll on the Dutch Wikipedia? Are there any pre-conditions? Necessary rights?
SecurePoll are available on all Wikimedia projects, though votes may be done via Vote-Wiki nowadays. Try contacting meta:User:Jalexander-WMF who should be able to direct you to the correct WMF liaison.
When I go to run the update script, it gives me this database error:

Update for this: I re-ran the update script and everything went fine. No idea what happened to fix this problem though.
Is this for anonymous or public pools or is there an option? The page sadly doesn't tell.

Can this extension be used to create a board of editors who would have to vote on a submitted article, before the articles goes live? I see someone asked a similar question, which has stood unanswered for 3 years now.
E.g. admins or someone. We want to turn it on in ruwiki in order to vote for Article of the Year, but there is a requirements for voters, which is checked by the jury.
