Hello I am looking for an extension for my wiki.

It should play a cookie warning. And it should be able to do more than the extension "Cookiewarning" I still need the option only use necessary cookies etc.

Maybe someone of you can help me.

Need help for checklist and dropdown menu on pages

Hi :)

I am interested to use my own local mediawiki as a project management tool. I want to install extension / plugin that can allow me to use checkbox and dropdown menu so that I can indicate which task is in progress and which one is already close. I found bluespice checkbox extension to be the best candidate but it requires me to install bluespice first to use the extension.

I google and find nice article but the checkbox is reset when I edit my pages.

So is there anyone can help and suggest how to make a clickable permanent checkbox? And I also need some help for making dropdown menu

Thank you

Best regards

Summary by Henryfunk

Consulting Category:Extensions_by_status and the list of Extensions_by_status are useful and usable workarounds, though it was suggested that a category of extensions that have not been archived would be useful to people looking for extensions they can use.

It would be nice to have a category (page) for extensions that haven't been archived. I sometimes browse through the list of all extensions to get inspiration for new features for our site, but rather too many of the items on the list are now "stale", like this: Extension:AfterEdit.

Yeah, I guess this is your best shot.

Henryfunk (talkcontribs)

The problem is that most of the extensions are no longer viable. If you check just a few tens (or hundreds, as I have) of the extensions in the category "All extensions" you will find that the majority have been archived, meaning they are obsolete. There should be a way to list all those extensions that can still be used.

Thanks, I see there's also a subcategory of stable extensions, which looks promising.

May I know why this page can’t be translated?

Malyacko (talkcontribs)

@Nanoquanta: What makes you think so? Category:Extensions can be translated. I see a "Translate this page" link on it.

Nanoquanta (talkcontribs)

This is not some game! If I want to show the proof of something I saw for sure mentioning the exact same thing as in my first comment but only that you could change it before I could show you the proof, by all means, then what am I as a user and why should I contribute for Wikimedia or pedia or whatever claiming to do things that neither I accepted nor working the way it says it is? And even when I save those pictures, surprisingly, they are deleted too. Should i think all of that was some fun or believe I am really mad and need to see a doctor?

Malyacko (talkcontribs)

Please be more specific. If nobody knows what you refer to, nobody can help... No idea what pictures you refer to either. Please be clear and specific.

As Malyacko says, it ''can'' be translated.

What language are you trying to translate it to? Tell us, and we can give you step by step instructions, or admit it cannot be translated to the language you want.

Similarly, there is a box at the top of "that" page (as "this" page is a talk page), which has several languages you can choose, and a link above the box with "Translate this page" - which, when clicked, gives over 50 languages you can choose to translate to.

As for your pictures, I cannot see any that you uploaded.

By all means, carry on explaining, and we will try and understand :) ~~~~
