Bugzilla/Cleanup
From MediaWiki.org
< Bugzilla
There are quite a few big cleanup jobs that our Bugzilla database could do with, but they're sure to result in a huge volume of bugmail spam, to wikibugs-l, individual users and to the IRC channels. The best way to proceed is to set aside a window when email from the bugzilla installation will be disabled, and we can make large changes without generating a huge volume of mail.
Changes that need to be made:
- Remove deprecated keywords
fixed-in-14-cvsfixed-in-15-cvsfixed-in-cvsbugday- didn't do.
- Remove keywords from closed bugs
- Is that necessary? ^demon
- Of course not; none of this is essential. Doesn't mean it's not beneficial. Happy‑melon 14:48, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
- I suppose some of them (needs-parsertest, needs-review) could be removed post-closure, as they're no longer relevant. Things like patch are still relevant, because there is still a patch attached to the bug (it's just been applied already :p) ^demon 13:40, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
- What about a new keyword for those, for example "reviewed-patch" or the likes, that would make it easier looking for patches that need to be checked out/reviewed or something? Peachey88 03:01, 16 May 2010 (UTC)

- Cleanup some keywords
- easy can apparently do with a cleanout, since they aren't all "easy". Peachey88 00:07, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
Consolidate MW version numbers - 1.4.x → 1.4, etc, up to 1.10 (except 1.6.x??)
- Cleanout some products and components with many misplaced bugs:
- wikibugs IRC bot
- Deprecate some components and products
- Reorganise some products/components
- Logwood → Wikimedia/Usage Statistics?
